Resurrection rolls are a fun and easy way to bring the story of Easter to your kids, Awana club or Sunday school class during Holy Week- and they're delicious to boot! Your kids will be amazed as the marshmallow placed inside the roll disappears after it's been baked in the oven.
Here's what you'll need:
a can of crescent rolls
large marshmallows, cut in half
melted butter
cinnamon sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
Roll a marshmallow half into a small dish of melted butter and coat completely then roll it into a small dish of cinnamon sugar.
Place the sugar-coated marshmallow on to a crescent triangle and roll. Make sure the marshmallow is completely covered and pinch slightly at the edged to seal it in.
Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
Open a roll. Your kids will be amazed when they see that the marshmallow is gone just like Jesus in the tomb!
Add in the Bible story!
Before you make the resurrection rolls you can watch this short video by Bible Kids on Youtube, so they can have the story of Easter fresh in their minds. You can also do it after and have them watch while they're eating their delicious treats!
I hope this activity blesses your family, club or Sunday school class during Holy Week!
